Privacy Policy
This policy is maintained by Saber IQ LLC and describes how Saber Potential IQ™ handles information entered by parents, teachers, and schools.
Data we collect
We collect only what is needed to operate the platform:
- Account information for parents, teachers, and school staff (name, email, role).
- Child profile information voluntarily entered by an authorized guardian or educator.
- Observations, notes, evidence files, and developmental signals submitted by users.
- Operational metadata such as timestamps, device information, and audit events.
We do not buy data about children, and we do not sell personally identifiable information.
Data encryption
All data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest using industry-standard encryption. Credentials are hashed; access tokens are short-lived; backups are encrypted with separately managed keys.
User rights
Every user may, at any time:
- Access the personal data associated with their account.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Export their data in a portable format.
- Request deletion of their account and associated content.
- Withdraw consent for optional processing.
Parent rights
Parents and legal guardians remain the primary stewards of their child's information. A guardian may review, edit, export, or delete their child's profile at any time, and may revoke a school's or educator's access on request.
School responsibilities
Schools using Saber Potential IQ act as data controllers for the children in their care. Schools agree to obtain appropriate guardian consent, limit access to authorized staff, and use the platform solely for educational and developmental purposes.
Data retention
Active child profiles are retained while a guardian or authorized school maintains the account. Inactive accounts are flagged after 24 months and scheduled for archival. Audit logs are retained as required by applicable law.
Data deletion
On request, we permanently delete account data within 30 days, subject to limited legal retention obligations. Deletion is irreversible; exports are offered before removal.
AI processing
AI is used to surface patterns, summarize evidence, and assist the adults around a child. AI never diagnoses, labels, or predicts a child's future. Models are operated through vetted providers under data-processing agreements that prohibit training on customer content.
Anonymous research data
With explicit, opt-in consent, fully de-identified and aggregated information may be used to improve developmental research and model quality. Anonymous data cannot be re-linked to a child or family.
International privacy compliance
Saber IQ LLC is committed to global privacy standards including FERPA, COPPA, GDPR, and equivalent regional frameworks. We honor data-subject requests regardless of where the requester resides, and we maintain Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers where required.
